Good saturday find. any value estimates?

I found this item last Saturday. after doing some research I believe it is a 1909 Illinois Auto license disk which were used before they had plates. Only 25,000 were issued in that year. Does anyone have an ides on value?

I would definately do some major reseach on this. Depending upon its year, you may have found a rarity. No sense in selling it for a few bucks when it could be worth a lot more. The Pickers found a leather lic plate in Michigan that was worth several dollars.

Your dash disc is worth about $100.00 - $175.00 , great find . It was issued before the state issued license plates . You would have to make your own plate with that number on the disc . Could be made of leather , hand painted metal or any other item that would meet the laws of the time . I would just keep it if I were you but I have collected license plates since 1981
