I have quite a few rough gems I've picked up over the years and I'd like to get some of them cut but I'm not sure where to go. I'm asking for help if anyone can recommend anyplace that they might have used in the past and I can trust?
I do have a nice ~25 carat garnet that I'd really like to make into some jewlry.

TIA

Hi ESC
I cut faceted Gemstones, cabochon cutting, and do a little Silversmith work. It has been my experience that most of the gemstones people find at pay mines, have so many flaws in them they are not worth faceting, but most of these can be cut into a nice cabochon piece of jewelry.
You should look for a Lapidary Shop in your area. Only after they look at your piece, can they tell if it is worth cutting and the best design for it. Click on this link for a few I have cut, polished, and set.
