Good News, Bad News.

Well I went a hunting today. It was a long day cause I was exploring as well as hunting. The good news is I found 2 spring heads! The bad news is I spent 7 hours out there in the bitter cold and didnt find much as in NO arrowheads unless you count the white fish point. Here is all I got.

ROCK..that was a GREAT find. In the grand scheme of things.. doing what you did today is far more important than going home with points and tools everyday. You may have hit a homerun there. When things warm up you should really focus in and around that. I'm not sure exactly where you're located in Georgia.. but there may be a good chance you could find some big fossil shark teeth in there also.
Looks like a couple drills there also... you found more today then what I've seen in a while.... yet you talked it down..why?

Yeah the water was clear so I could see to the bottom of both springs. Water wasnt deep at all like in the summer. The first one is closer to the main creek and was dry last summer. Now all the leaves have been washed away and it is visible. There is a small spring and it is flowing just enough to see the boil coming up. The other one is bigger and I counted 5 small boils coming up. I didnt see any rocks laying on the bottom it was all mud showing. I have found artifacts in both places but just scrapers and tools like the ones I have pictured. The 2 small ones in the upper left are either cores or small hammers. The one on the bottom left is actually a hafted scraper made from a flake. The 2 on the right I found in another field away from the springs. That yellowish one is a strange shape . Not sure what it is or was used for. Might be broken by the shape of it. The other one on the right the bluish one I found on top of a dirt pile they had pushed some soil to the side and it was sitting on the top waiting for me, lol. In all it was a good day and there is still places I havent been yet. HH everyone, rock
