Dug this strange object in Southport N.C. Any ideas? On the not so busy side it says Johnston Roffler Co.
pantent T.2-88.APRL.20-68
T.18-70.JAN.31-71
N.9-72.JAN.21-7?

Reissued pat. Dec.1 1874
I was thinking maby out of a hair cutting device (Roffler) I had no luck trying to look up the pat. number. I have put a pic of everything I found in one yard for size reference.

It's a sewing attachment from a old sewing machine... treadle era.

Probably says "Ruffler." It's a auto-pleating or ruffling attachment.

Well! That was quick, Thanks. Did you know that from seeing one or did you look it up? Thanks again.
