Killer peice with a nice gut hook extended barb, love the waxy translucenty luster of that material, may i ask where it was found?

just found yesterday in north dakota
it had been laying about thirty feet from the tractor
the rain washed it enough to make it visible
the material is knife river flint (KRF)

Holy shmoly! Definitely banner!

Some jaw notched "points" get really big like that one. That's the first one I've seen that didn't have the tip broke off though!

That is a beauty Larson!!!!.................................Nice Find :icon_thumleft:.......................................GTP

Man, that one is a killer Steve. I really like that the one side of the base has the protrusion on it. I've noticed that same trait on quite a few of your Points so it must be something they did on purpose.

thanky for the banner votes
i am gonna post a box of summer stuff and it contains a small baby sister to it

Helluva find, Steve. That's a Buffalo Gap, one of the many varieties of Plains Side-Notch. Very nice!

That is an incredible point, I cannot believe it hasn't made the banner. Buffalo Gaps are extremely rare and the quality of this one is outstanding.
