I have been eyeing this spot since last year and finally got the go ahead this afternoon. If we can ever get some moisture here, I should be able to get some deeper targets as well. I have a lot of area to cover here tomorrow so hopefully I can find some more.

This next item is a huge presidential campaign token, larger than a silver dollar. If you know where I can look up more information on this, please let me know.

This is what we all hunt for! You have provided an example of what metal detecting is all about, good research and then a killer hunt! Many finds here get classified as banner finds but this is what I call banner finds!!!!!!!! WTG :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Really nice digs Wall! I can see you have 1 but possibly 2 keydate Indian heads... the 1874 is semi key an can't tell if the one above it is 1868 0r 1888 the 1868 is a keydate.. if it's a 1888 could you get a better pic of the date? I want to see if it's a 1888 over 7..thanks

Great bunch of Indians - The token appears to be an old one, since it refers to the "presidential mansion" instead of the White House. The candidates are presumably Benjamin Harrison and Whitelaw Reid, who were the Republicn candidates that year. Maybe a piece from the Chicago Worlds Fair ? A guess based on the Columbus theme on the reverse. Congrats.
