Good for 800 Brick W&T

Found this token today while searching the yard of an early 1900 era home in Houston Texas. Token reads "Good for 800 brick W&T". Any information on it greatly appreciated. There is nothing on the back of it and it is slightly smaller than a half dollar.

That token is amazing. The incuse style is indicative of an early token. You probably know but, if you do not, incuse means the item has had the lettering stamped into the token, rather than embossed. I have never found a token with a connection to building materials suggested as the value. It is likely a token that is the first one of its type. A good source is Richard's token database to learn if someone else has found one like yours and posted it with his site. If not you likely have a real winner of a token and it probably has a good value. It would be worth a look. No matter how it turns out it is in great condition. The W&T may be an indicator of the name of the proprietors of the business. If so, you may be able to locate the time period of the token by looking in the business directories for the time period you think it may have been used. It will get a little harder when you try to locate the town because it is not listed on the token but it could have been used in the town near where you found it.
