I’m a history and research buff. Audio books and Internetarchive.org have tripled my interest and ground covered ah shucks, okay primarily mining Rabbit Holes.
World history is my Mona Lisa though. My risk aversion is on the “serious lacking on the deficit side.“ But my curiosity has always been my effortless journey.

Wow! That is a commitment and-a-half! Does anyone even know what all is stored in the Vatican Library?

audio books are great.

most newer vehicles do not have DVD players which can make listening a hassle since these one must transfer the audio book to a thumb drive to listen to them.

Yes. Especially if you look at carbon dating. You can’t use it accurately past about 50k years. Scientists still site things as hundreds of millions of years old. IMO, scientists came up with a grand assumption on which to base prehistoric timelines. If the assumption is wrong then so is recorded history. I’m not proposing a “young Earth” hypothesis. I’m just saying a best guess is as wrong as Columbus discovering North America.

I have been in IT since late 80’s. But not is is just a hobby.
So, Alexandria Library was just a metaphor. Definition to day would be just a stamp in time and subject matter selected. My IQ isn’t and never was high. But I enjoy getting high.
Regardless, all of our historical past was in books and books would be unattainable besides I am not a MONK🥴 I got into crypto mining is 2017 and have evolved into AI as a hobby.

I setup a semi tricked out Computer for 3800, Load Linux and Python which both are open source (Free) and within 1/2 day to maybe 2 you can setup your own little QPIT tech name spider and it goes out onto the entire Internet and select five copies every thing it has been told to look 👀 for and either copies everything on the site or copies it’s location and records most of which any site allows.
So I could responsibly goto www.congress.gov and a have every congressional record preserved in my own little “Alexandria Library“ It kinda like what Google does but it 7x24 indexing the entire world and every data point. Then we we search it display, ….coughing, decided for us, Bullshit what it wants us to be taught and mask what it has been decided that Im not in the club and it’s sorted to not provide against is bias. (Narrative) is a kind word for it. I’ll leave it at that
So my little library has a 4 terabyte drive for about 300.
1 terabyte hold . 85,899,345 book pages x 4 and that’s my little Alexandria Nuff Sade🤓

Not book smart but my curiosity as I grew older has replaced “have to study” which clearly I never did to of interest and enjoyment I have learned a lot.

Sorry to accidentally offend you. I was aiming at the brave souls who originally dreamed up carbon dating and decided to apply it well beyond its capacity, not at you or your personal efforts. I too am a history and science guy. I just don’t believe much history without my own research. Scientists change their minds every few years as to whether an egg is ok too eat, or not. The cholesterol will kill you via heart disease, etc. A few years later it’s a super food, then eventually back to dangerous once more. When they can solve the egg issue, I may start believing the 500 million year old carbon dating story. They can hold the egg in their hand, and they keep changing their minds. Scientists rarely say they were ever wrong. Instead, “new findings indicate…”
That means they were wrong. A lack of proper evidence doesn’t make an uninformed decision “temporarily correct.” Once again, sorry for making you feel bad. Absolutely not my intention.

We all got our own things that get us through life. One guy’s might be football, the next might be politics. No right answer. Just whatever works for each individual. My initiative is to finish life without negatively impacting others intentionally and to have a positive influence where I can. There’s too much hate in the world. I’m not trying to be John Lennon, but I’d rather be helpful than to be an interference. Keep digging and asking “why?” You will find answers.☮️

just an observation...
Their are a lot of well red treasure hunters that have spent a considerable amount of time an effort on this site.
The part that brings a smile to my face is that half spell as bad if not worse than me.
