I'm back. :) Would be a few years since I posted steady on here but I'm back starting today! A couple of days ago I was out with Ironhorse and let him know 2025 makes 10 years since we did our "out on the old copper trail" theme, every post, and that ended up being a great year. For anyone who has been on here for over a decade they may, or may not remember.... :laughing7: but for reference it was the year I dug the really nice British 76th Officer's button. Anyhow, I still dig all the time, even became a detector dealer n Canada.... and this is my 4 better finds to start the year.

Early belt plate, Breadalbane Fencibles (British Militia 1793-1800) and an 1812 period British 27th Regiment officer's button. The 27th fought in Plattsburgh, NY in 1814. I also dug this huge jews harp, which dwarfs all the others I've found over the years. I've yet to dig a silver coin, but it's still very early yet. :) I hope to report one of those on the same day it happens.

That was a productive hunt. I feel good if I come home with a single keeper.

I remember you from years ago, Patch. Are you still swinging that Explorer? I've got an Explorer II that I bought many years ago from RonC in Oregon. Had to replace the stock coil when it died. I still love this machine and will swing it until it decides to quit for good.

No, I changed to the Deus in 2017, and now swing a Deus II. I was Explorer for about 16 years.

All the several jaw harps I have found have been the same size. Yours must be for a horse. Those are great artifacts and it is good that you have been able to keep making finds for so long. It's good for the health!
