Got permission to hunt a local spot were a small schoolhouse was around 1900. Theres a field next to it that had the post office in 1904 but havent talked to that land owner yet.
Anyways, grabbed my Ace 250 ( have an AT pro on the way) and a buddy with his bounty hunter and we went at it for 3 hours. Right away found my oldest coin to date, a 1925 wheat penny. I know thats nothing compared to most on here, but I was excited. Also found a 1942 nickel, my buddy found two wheaties from the 40's and a clad quarteer. Found a lot of old cans and tabs.
Got homee and my new AT Pro had arrived! I got it put together with the 5x8 coil and my daughter and I hit the front yard which we had gone over several times with the ace 250. Right away, I can tell you the AT Pro makes the ace 250 look like a joke. Just in our front yard in about an hour, we dug 82 cents, several brass items, and a big aluminum pan. Most was about 4-6" down. Hits I never have heard on the ace 250.
I cant wait to take the AT pro over to the old school site. Probably will hit it tomorrow. Maybe we will find our first silver coin or the thing Im hoping for the most, an indianhead penny.
