i was getting a little frustrated at not finding much good lately. i think part of it is trying to concentrate with the 10x12 sef coil, dont get me wrong i love it, but if you are hunting where there is much trash it can get a little hard to pick out the good sounds. most of the time there is more than 1 thing under the coil. so i started using the little sef coil (6x8 i think) and it is so much easier to listen for the good stuff. 1st day i went to an old fairground i've hunted many times and got 2 wheats in an area i've pounded before, next went to city park and found barber dime, again in an area i've hunted many times. went there again the other day and scored 1 wheat, but today was even better.......this area i've hunted with the big coil and am lucky to even find clad, today was no different (2 clad pennies)...............used the little guy to hunt with today and got a merc at about 8 inches (didnt even scratch it)..............hunted some more, a little junk here, a little junk there and bam another decent hit.....dug and dug (hard clay not fun to dig in) and pipointer kept saying it was in the hole, dug some more and out pops a little silver coin from about 7 inches beside a giant root (didnt scratch it either) flipped it over......are you kidding me? it looks like a seated...havent cleaned it yet, i'll let ya know
