Hunted the front walk to the garage of the new house and found some great stuff the last two nights. It has become a habit to detect until the wife calls me in for bed!!
Great silver ring with what appears to be an Opal (Fire or Black). It is cracked on two corners and needs to be polished but otherwise in great shape. The engraving is done by had on the inside and has "Luzon 1-9-45" and "Okinawa 4-1-45". So it looks to be from an Army Veteran since the Army was in the Philipines. Wish I had a name!!
1942 Mercury (winged Liberty for those grumpy people who insist that all people speak like them and...whatever...)
1943-s War Nickle
Wheats:
16-s
17-s
18
18-d
19-d
27-s
28-s
35-s
37
and a 60-d Memorial.
all of these coins and the ring were found in a 10x10 foot area. All registered between 3-5 inches in depth. Still haven't found my 1st Buffalo (Better make that an American Bison) Nickel...Any Hints?

Nice finds

The ring looks good and from the 40's or 50's.

I'm sure there is more there.

You must detect late.
