I went to a field that has been planted in green beans and had a lot of rain on it yesterday. I was pleased to find these.

very nice points as always...do you mind me asking about checking a plowed field that is planted. I wanted to ask some local farmers about walking their fields but wasn't sure about the window of time that they would be ok with me checking...after plowing but before planting? It sounds like you still had an opportunity in a planted field. Any help would be appreciated.

I look the fields from the time the field is turned until the crops get to large to look. I never step on the seed bed. I pull up some of the weeds that are growing. I always want the field to be better when I leave than when I went in. Does this make sense?

yes...thanks so much for sharing. I imagine that you have earned the trust of the farmer with this care for detail. I hope I can replicate that approach too. thanks!

Killing it again I see. The first 2 are nice color. What is the one on the right first pic? I know you said you dont know the names for many like me as well but I was wondering cause I have one like it but mine is made out of pink quartzite. I never knew what it was but just cool looking, lol.
