why not? i wouldnt expect an abundance of silver or anything but there could be a few. besides......how many drunken bridesmaids might have lost jewelry?!

Absolutely.

? I don't Golf, But I'm Willing to Wager, Golfers Don't Drop Trash, That May Get in the Way of a
Ball? ;)

It's like "FUZZERS" on a Billiard Table? :-\? ?*&%^^%$$^*(*^%$

I would try. What do you have to loose except your time? Where there are people there are things that are dropped. People with more money drop things that are more expensive. Need I say more?

Things can be dropped anywhere on the course, especially in the rough areas.

If they have an area where they held ourdoor barbecuing or pig roasts or the like, that should be the first area I would try. Also if they have outside dance or party area. How about a pool? The grass around these areas should be prime spots to look.

I hunted a golf course that at the time, had been recently closed. Land was to be used for houseing tract. Found some clad and might have got some silver, but when I hunted, the grass and weeds were nearly waist high and very dense. Couldn't get the coil to the ground, so I was almost probing with the coil. Shoved it down and picked it up then move a step and do the same.
Being an avid golfer for 20 plus years I would say hunt anywhere, but focus on and around the tee area for each hole and all around the greens. Golfers mostly use coins to mark their balls on the green. There's probably a lot of lost ball markers there. I can't say about the middle of the fairways, being that I'm so seldom there. HH
