Golden Gate Park, SF finds

Only spent a couple hours out before the rain. Highlights are my first silver ring, 925 stamp. it’s tacky but it’s silver. An SF railway token from the 40’s I believe. Any guesses on the button? I think it’s cosmetic and cheap but it’s crunchy enough that I’m curious. A 60’s tie clip from Briar. An old shotgun shell, I can’t imagine anyone shooting it in the park!! And a bunch of modern coins. Happy hunting everyone!

Really nice finds. I live just north of the City. Hunting in Hawaii this month. I wasn’t sure GG Park allowed detecting. Good job.

Thanks! It’s allowed in the park but I’m very mindful of ball fields and gardens etc. Honestly avoiding the homeless camps is the hardest part. Good luck in Hawaii!

I think the 2 dragon silver ring is pretty cool I remember someone else hunted G.G. and found a live grenade so an old shotgun shell is pretty tame.LOL

The button it made from a cheap pot metal & is a 20th C blazer button in a sudo-military looking type.

Love that token, the shotgun shell looks to be turn of the century and I’m sure it’s from a bird hunter before it was a park. Everything else looks like hippie drops
