Took the LRP out to see if it would work at all at the beach.. hunted in Disc 3, ground grabbed, discrim 25, sens 7 and 8.

It was ok.. manageable. Didn't expect to find much.

I was able to pull some pull tabs and one fishing weight at about 5 inches.

Lots of iron and one chunk of copper.

I think I prefer digging plugs in the dirt.

Copper chunk.. bought the size of a playing card and 1/2in thick.

Congrats! A day out swinging is better than a day stuck in the house!
I think dirt is better than the beach. That sand gets everywhere! Not a big fan of the beach.
Those spike look a lil like Spanish deck nails from a galleon!

hahaha... Ok, I checked them out. Definitely Spanish deck nails from a galleon! maybe.

Hey... that was the funniest thing i have heard all week! Thank you.

Honestly, I found one of those totally not railroad spikes at a park one time.

Look like railroad spikes to me. I pounded a bazillion of them with a spike maul.

Can't find it on the couch, nice getting out, never know where your going to find it.

You're welcome. It was a little humor brought over from the OI section of the forum. I should have mentioned that.
Still good finds and at least you got out to swing. We are at freezing here and I want to go out!

I'd look near the fire pits and sun bathing dry sand areas!

What a beautiful day on the Puget sound! Snow and rainbows

Seattle parks.. off limits anywhere above the high tide line.

good lord, golden gardens is right along the rail line, we used to find those spikes unused tossed along the tracks there.
all the time.

I can tell you for a fact.. they are all still there! It's metal detector over load central. But, you just never know what else could be hiding there.
