Like'm all-big or small and micro mini mounts work too. I finally learned how to use my new cameras micro function and sure fakes ya out,makes grains look like pounds in a pic-John

Nice looking piece Aufisher. As John said, big or small and micro.... quartz/gold pieces are always a welcome but seeing them magnified or through a jeweler's loop, makes it that more spectacular. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Here's a picture of a big chunk of the ruby quartz. When you find this stuff and epidote crystals together around Rich Hill it's time to nugget hunt! :thumbsup:

In metroDenver I look for larger rounded River Rock. Ideally rocks sitting unburied on the surface of a large bar. Never fails as those round rocks are mostly from an ancient river which also held fine gold (in the South Platte River drainage.
