gold test kits?

I was on ebay looking for a professional test kit for gold but all of then are the 'scratch' and test type. Anyone recommend a cheap test kit? I don't want to try to scratch a tiny peice of gold on one of those scratch blocks.

Keene used to sell a decent gold/silver/diamond test kits but haven't seen a catalog in many years. It works great but you need test comparison needles to find kt content accurately, or expensive electronic testers also work fantastic..The scratch test you speak off has been the tried and true method for many centuries...John
