Tom76 and I planned our get away trip for 48s hours of detecting which included a lil drinking, We started off at my old 1800s Homestead Friday Morning, Hoping I would find another Chinese Cash Coin, Pickings were slim, I did recover what looks like the front of a Pocket Watch, with the Unbroken Glass, I found many Bullet Casings as well. We then went to an elementary school from 1930s and I only found the remains of a pencil eraser, still determined we hit another old spot where I found a part of a gw luft co lipstick container (1930s), The day was hot and we Continued to hit old farms and cattle ranches will lil success, we then decided to hit some old abandoned houses, only Keeper for me was a 39s Wheat and some Clad. That was the end of Day 1. The next Morning we headed out for the 5 Hour Drive Home , we had an extra few hours so we Drove around Looking for a new spot, I saw what looked Like an Abandoned House and asked Tom what do you think? He said sure lets give it a shot; (this is where it gets better).. As soon as I got out, I needed to water Mother nature so to speak and headed over to the old house to do my business, I looked down to the ground and saw something that looked like a ring, I though hmm must be a old pull tab, Because 99% of the time that’s what I get, I reached down (to the left) and Could not Believe it, a Heavy Solid Gold Snake Ring with Turquoise!!, It must of had something for eyes but they were gone. That brought my ring total to 15 for the year, I then executed the Happy Dance, Oh wait a minute… as I looked down again what’s that? an Old Jewelry box, It says Genuine Ivory, too bad it was empty, At this time, I had not even turned on the DFX , I just started going through the gravel and found the following: 15 Lincolns from the 60s, a 45, 57 wheat, a Hinds cream bottle from 1890-1930, 1847 rodgersbros Silver fork (1890-1930), wma Rodgers Knife (1897-1929) and a British Mercenary Hessian Soldier Button that said ES DEVS SPES NOSTNA Which Translates to “GOD IS OUR HOPE” I have Seen Similar post and I am pretty Sure it’s a reproduction, I could not Believe that no one has ever found this Spill, there is also a Perfume Bottle and the rest of the of the Finds are in the not so great Pics, We are going to go back soon, I am pretty Sure There is Old Silver In the Grounds I just thought it was Odd finding Wheaties with other Items from the 1800s This By Far was my best day ever, hope you all have great Hunts, and Tom76 thanks for Driving the 600 plus miles
