A viking sword C950-1050 Ad, this was found in Hungary about 5 years ago. It is of the highest quality with gold and silver inlay on the blade , pommel and guard. On the blade there are two circles with runic lettering in the centre and a runic inscription in tiny letters in the space between the two circles. Very hard to get a clear photo but you might be able to see them feintly. The metal is solid and its safe to handle with no flaking to the metal. The blade seems to be complete, maybe a tiny loss to the very tip. I think it's as good an example as you are ever going to get ?

Go ask Alice, I think she'll know! ;)

That is VERY VERY cool! I like the way the blade looks almost like petrified wood.
