GOLD & Silver coins found in utah

Well I had been reading a lot about the histroy in Utah and had planned to ck out some places, after getting my first issue of W&E Treasure magazine which was yesterday , A full store of a place that i planned to hunt is a very hot spot as soon as the snows melts i will be there, 1 gold coin and some silver, plus lots of rings all in one place and my a man in Sandy,UT

I read that article as well. Good article. That place has been hit very hard, but I'm sure there are some things still there. It is a real challenge to detect this place with anything but a minelab. I need to buy one.

How about your DFX 300 Is it not any good out there, I have a DFX and will take it out there, hoping to fine something :icon_scratch: :icon_study: :coffee2:

I've not read the article but if it is the Saltair area I was out there last fall and found the entire area fenced off and signs posted that it is now a wildlife management area.

Signs stated no collecting of any type.

Obviously i need to do a little more research. I spent an entire day out at Saltair last summer MD'ing and found squat. The next day however, i found a bright sunburn on the back of my neck!

You must be talking about Jeral Smith at J&J metal detectors.

Good man Im headed out there tomorrow to take a look at some minelabs.
