Went to a mountain swimming spot to escape the heat again. Not many people there as the smoke from the Dixie fire is quite thick (570k acres burned so far, and only 30% containment). The targets on the beach and in the shallow water were few and far between, so I had to go deep. Managed to scoop up a few goodies. The little gold is 14k and the onyx ring is sterling. That tungsten ring really had the blood pumping as they ring up just like gold on the Simplex, and all I saw was yellow when I looked in the scoop! Oh well...

The days finds also included $4.12 in clad, a '41 Ford Matchbox, a lure stamped "Jeep" and a live 9mm round.

Oh yeah, and found this about 16 inched down in the sand. It gave a very peculiar signal. Was a tad disappointed when I pulled the lid off. Doh!
