A good day yesterday. I am loving the extra daylight!

A 10k ring, a '43P war nickel, a corroded buffalo, and a token from the Texas Electric Railroad. Also three wheats.

P.s. I posted the ring in the jewelry forum asking for help in identifying colored gem stones and ways to tell if they are real or fake. If you know anything, here is the post. Feel free to chime in...

Good finds Ed. The ring is very nice. I'm not a precious stone expert but I'm guessing it could be Amber. Great job.
 

Love the setting of that ring! To me, the stone looks like amber or topaz. If amber, it's most likely scratched as amber's soft. If topaz, somewhat less likely to be scratched. Either way, it's beautiful! HH Andi

I am thinking it is probably amber because the pitting and scratches are more than what I think topaz would. Someone in the Jewelry forum sent me a pretty good link with gem info and amber has a hardness of 2.0-2.5, topaz is an 8 and of course the top dog, diamond is a 10. So...
