Have no experience with this because I have never found a gold ring until tonight. Just a last minute spin through a new park before dark, trying out my new Gold Bug. I wans't digging 78 signals (zinc penny) or the 83 (copper penny, clad dines) and they were going off right . Dig those later, I just want to get a feel for what's in here. Then I get a loud rock solid 81, steady, never changes and the same from all directions changes. Because no coin iDs at that number I wanted to see what I had. So I dig and see the bright glint of gold. Clean, dirt isn't sticking to it. It's a small simple wedding band.........I THINK IT IS A GOLD RING. My first.....Some small marks on the inside of band. Can't read it well because my eyes aren't what they use to be but with a magnifying glass I clearly made out 22 something (I think C T) The a few other marks. so my question is: Is there such a thing as 22 Karat gold? The band is narrow, weighs .24 ounce Troy , 7 grams. ? Was goping to photo, got home my Cam battery dead and it's recharging now

Yep there is such a thing as 22 K Gold!!! Never found One Myself Chug!!!! Hurry up Battery and Charge I want to See A Pic!!!!! :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: Chug

Got some great pics but the file is 2.5 mgb, this server will can't download it, Chug. Maybe I will have time to take it into photo shop and shrink it tonight. I'm sure this ring is rich gold, it rang 81 and it's just a little thin 7 gram wedding band. Sure is a purty color though. :P

Hope this worked
