Went to a lot of different old areas to try, but ended up back at the old inn spot that is now an old park. I got a silver dime reading and dug down about 10" to find part of a sterling old spoon. A little while later the detector sounded off with a penny reading, and after digging a 9" hole, this button came out. I think it looks like a Civil War button with catches and hooks. The 14K ring came out without a diamond , but 14k is 14k! The gold ring had a 20 reading on the scale ( tin foil) at 8". Also found a 1909 and 1918 Lincoln cents deep in the ground and one wheat - 1950S in the wood chips (like new). I followed all this up with a Sacajawea dollar, a gold looking heavy religious medallion and about $4 in clad. Thanks for looking!
