Hello everyone I found my first gold ring today ! I have only been metal detecting for like 2 months and have only gone out like 5 times now. the third hole this morning netted me my first gold ring ! Any help identifying country of origin, maker, date, anything would be appreciated !

I decided to go to the beach this morning right after Hurricane Hermine came through I was using my New Garrett AT Pro.

at 10 k the stone is likely no more than a garnet, if even that.

Nice ring, zilx. And while it might be garnet as previously stated, it might also be ruby. Can you post another photo of just the stone? And welcome to TNet. Great find for a newbie.

I just took the ring to a jewelers and the stone is a synthetic stone but it is indeed 10K with rose gold on the sides. The Jewelers estimate the value in the $300-$400ish range. I'll take that ALL DAY EVERYDAY ! :D Honestly though, my reaction when i saw it in the sand and pulled it up, and the following dancing that took place, plus feeling of not knowing how much it could be worth I had while i was waiting on the jewelers to appraise it make it priceless to me :happy3:

Happy Hunting everyone ! Remember...swing low and swing slow
