Strangely quiet at my local Southern California Beach yesterday late afternoon. I began searching for signals in the wet sand and not much until I came up with this iffy signal that sounded deep.

Well it wasn't deep AND it was a Gold Ring! Not big but 14K and only my second Gold ring with an inscription (out of about 2 dozen Gold rings). I promised myself to try to return all inscribed rings and I shall.

Gold in the scoop is really FUN! Gotta love this hobby!

Congrats on the gold ring Joe.

And good on ya for attempting to return it. What do you do, put a post in Craigslist lost and found?

Gold is gold. If you can't find the owner, looks like you hit a nice little payday. :icon_pirat:

I think it is time for me to check out one of your "other" secret spots !!!
You are ...... how do they say.... kicking butt! I am beginning to think it may not be just dumb luck. You are collecting on some of your good karma you have been earning and maybe some good old experience may be at play too. The OC is not producing for me, and LA is foreign to me, teach me Dr teach me!!!!!
Julie in the OC
I still cant get over your last really, really super good find!

Hi Julie ... Not too secret, this was at Seal Beach just south of the first southern lifeguard structure.

It's sure gotten quiet at the beach .. not much in the way of new drops SO ... I'll be concentrating in the wet sand for oldies.
