Re: Gold Ring #2

Thanx everyone

It rang as a nickle, I might have dismissed it as a trash signal but I am learning to slow down and investigate all signals more carefully before I dismiss them as trash. This park I am hunting has been searched and searched since metal detectors were invented and every time I hunt it I find stuff. This ring has been in the ground for years based on it's depth and everyone else missed it, probably because they thought it was trash. Do the extra work and get the bonus payoff...lol.

Jeff posted a thread about slow down, I have slowed down my pace and my swing and I investigate a lot more signals, this has led to me finding more quarters and dimes and also I'm beginning to find them at greater depth by working the iffy signals.

It seems to be like everything else you just can't go out there and do it you have to learn how to do it right. I hunt everyday for three to four hours before work and all day on my days off. I know that there is gold and silver out there and I am making it my business to go and get mine.

The two rings are worth the price I paid for my ACE250 and I am saving all my clad to upgrade to a Whites MXT as soon as I've got enough. And I'll tell you, I've only been doing this since April 1 this year, but I am already thinking that I could do this full time and turn a profit...we'll see!

Re: Gold Ring #2

Sweet looking ring! As I am sure you are finding out , many so called worked out areas were just cherry picked for silver in the old days, most old timers cranked the discrimination and left behind lots of old Indian Heads ,Nickels and GOLD!
