I got out for three hours Saturday during a rain/snow shower. I hit the field that has been producing gold regularly for me and my hunting buddies. Today was no exception. I got a 14kt double heart ring that weighed in at .8g. That is gold ring #2 and Gold #3 for the year (I have two gold eye spies now). This is also ring #8 for the year. The etrac could not pick it up so I am lucky I saw it on the ground. I also had a deja vu silver bracelet. My second one in as many days. This one was a whopping 20.9g. I included a side by side with yesterday's bracelet.

Those are awesome!! Just curious why could the etrac not pick it up?

The etrac does not pick up small gold very well. All my gold has been rings with some weight. I've only dug one ear ring and it was not a stud. It won't pu chains either.

Thats a bit of a downer. I've always pictured the etrac as the machine I would someday like to move up to but not being able to detect a gold ring is a huge turn off for me. Will it not detect it at all? I have a very small 14k baby ring and the m6 I just bought a few weeks ago will detect that at 6-7 inches open air. Will the etrac do that?

In my short experience with this machine it will but, I guess it all depends on your discrimination and the ground minerals.

I love finding big silver chains ! Great gold find , you don't even need a detector :laughing7: Keep the great videos coming :headbang:
