Gold prospecting

Hello all I'm new and I have the urge to gold mine and make it work for some retirement. You Know enough to pay the mortgage. I live in the High Rockies eagle county Colorado. I hope to be encourage and inspired by all of you. I'm sure there are experts out there and I hope they can help me through the process. Ultimately I would like to have a claim, RV, ATV, Dog and a gun. work at it during the summer. This seems to me the best way to enjoy life with my wife. Thanks.

Not to discourage you but most people, even experienced Miners of all types (except commercial mine employees), never accomplish the goals you have outlined. goldilicious: Chances are you will have to do some serious dredging to meet your goals. I recommend Karl von Mueller's book on the subject. You may want to consider joining a prospecting club, or finding an experienced and successful miner you can partner with who will be a mentor.
