Gold pocket watch

Went to 5 estate sales this is the only thing i bought today. Its a waltham 14k pocket watch, had a monet chain on it and the lady at the sale thought the watch was as well. Picked it up for $25. Pictures are bad but it is in good condition and still works.

Serial number is 12648646. I believe its from 1903, could u confirm that?

Yes 1903, I just found part of a Waltham with number 88016 (1864) metal detecting the other day found a suspender buckle and a tent grommet with in a few feet.

Yup. 1903 is correct. The oldest one I've bought is a 1886.

The watch was on a Monet necklace, and when I was paying the lady she said it was a beautiful piece for a Monet. She missed it along with one of those pushy people who get in your person space when looking at jewlery. He picked it up couldn't open it and put it down.

Very nice! The case is what makes that watch for sure. You need to have the stones looked at by a jeweler. It will increase the value that much more if those diamonds and emeralds are real. I do believe they will be, being of that age and with the so called "breathing" holes..
