Gold plated pieces

I found these gold-plated pieces all in one hole. Whatever it was that the triangular piece attached to was not in the hole. I think the rod with attached chain fit into a hole in clothing, whether a vest or pants. There is very detailed etching on the triangular piece. Seen anything like this before?

Thanks to Tony in SC and Spats for putting forward their ideas. I think the triangular piece is the strongest clue that could unravel this puzzle, but I'm stumped for now.

Found this in a search on "vintage gold-plated watch fobs". Looks like a monogram plate or wax seal could have been attached to the base end of the riangle.
