Hi all, not long ago i posted a button and this forum really helped out. I have now have a new button. This one was dug around the same area as the war of 1812 button i mentioned before. On the back it says Ives & Scott company.I,I've found the time period of around 1834 to 1836.I believe it gold plated or something. Any help in futher ID-ing this button was be helpful.

You are correct about the timeframe...the 1830s. Beyond that I have no idea, it looks like one of millions of different flower buttons made during that time period.

It's a great looker though with lots of gilt left... would make fine display.

Looks to me like it might be a furniture button. Probably from a couch or love seat.

thanks for the reply, it's real cool looking button. it hard to see but if you look between the horse shoe looking thingys there are fleur de lis in between each of them. witch is the coat of arm for the former French Royal family. but thats about all i can make since of.

Not to much else to post. found some lead, square nails, lots of iron, and oldest coin at this point was a 46 penny.I will say it's a good site with some good finds. It has a wide variety of history. so far this is the third button pulled from the area. #1 1812 #2 Hercules1907- 1960's #3 This one 1830's The first and third were about 30 feet apart.

Thanks for looking.
