Can read treble plate can’t make out rest seems to be 2 piece CA37D8A9-1F4A-4E34-9DED-2D0373BE2BA5.jpegCA37D8A9-1F4A-4E34-9DED-2D0373BE2BA5.jpeg9099C6BD-48BF-4EAF-B658-A04D1354230A.jpegBEDD464A-36B7-4CD2-906E-AAA0F82F1ABE.jpegD446D375-5943-4578-814D-94C15F7590FB.jpeg151C6BB7-AF21-49E7-B949-B177DD6B119F.jpegEF39BDB8-5CD1-4CDA-8EA1-A12A806EF3B5.jpeg

Hmm, generally “plated” would imply silver plated. I would have expected it to say “treble gilt” if it were gold that were applied. Maybe that word isn’t plated?
Either way I’d bet it dates to the 1820’s-50’s.

I’d have to think it’s silver plated that’s taken on a goldish hue, just due to the wording. Based on the size it seems it would be considered a vest button, and may or may not be considered a Jacksonian button, popular in the 1820’s-30’s... it’s at least related if it isn’t considered one.
