Had time for two MD outings this past weekend. Had high hopes for some old schools with a college girl friend of mine. We decided the stone schoolhouse had been moved from its original location. We are trying to determine if the original intersection where it was still exists. (now State land) Also hit two rural schools, found clad and a small "praying hands" jewelery piece. I can barely read it with a magnifying glass but my daughter thinks it reads, "1/20 14KT of K." Just wondering if we can count this as "first gold?"
The old coins continue to elude us. But the weather was great, we were outside and enjoying each other's company. What can I say?
Also found our first ball bearing (whooee!) and a pretty green pulltab. When did they start coloring them?
