Last weekend I went to the fairgrounds to hunt on Sunday, the day after the Huka concert.

Oh the crazy hippies. Must have been smokin' hash and dancing around and lost it.

I found what looked like a gold nugget. I knew it was a pendant because of the hoop fixed on top, but didn't know if it was fake or real. I took it to the jeweler on Monday, and got it back today. Thought I'd wait to post until I knew I had something or not.

The wieght is 13.90, I assume grams, that's what he told me. They did an acid test and said it was 14k and that most likely someone had likely had some broken chains melted down into this nugget, but not purified into 24k.

One cent for size reference.

Wow, BEAUTIFUL Nugget Kas!!!!
great find and real gold to boot....

Keep safe...

Added a pic for size reference. That thing is heavy. Don't know if I'd want it around my neck.

Gold is gold and always nice to find!

there is old indain silver mines in ohio for real----Ivan

Save your 14k gold, then have it melted into a 24k nugget some day. That would be cool, especially if you ever become a hippie and lose it. LOL ;D ::)

Our Hippies are too poor down here to loose something like that. You can find plenty of pipes though.

Great gold find! Hope the finds keep coming.

Well, my hair is down to my a$$, so I guess I am a "hippie" - but it's not mine! Great find!

Of course their aren't any real hippies anymore. The kids going to those Huka concerts,(or whatever the name), Have the dread-head, with matted down hair they haven't washed in months.
Hope they have another concert soon. Light it up and pass it around.

"Dude, I lost my fifty dollar gold piece neckless." Cough, cough.
"Still got the hash?" Dude feels in his pocket.
"Yep."
"Cool, We'll find your coin tomorrow when we get up at 2:00 p.m.. I'll put this leaf on the ground right here so we know where you lost it."
"Cool."
"Man it's getting windy."
"Cool."
"Pass the pipe."
"Cool."
