Gold in Quartz pics

I see your nose is working good this year!

Hey Strick , I added a pic to that post . I could'a swore I
put it on there the first time but I guess I didn't .
No matter . How's the home piles play'n out for you
so far ? I've just been working stock myself for the
last month or so ....... Every chance I get anyhow .
Kinda nice being only a few hundred feet away from the
house rather than miles during the short days ain't it .

Been busy lately ,no time to run any. Overdue for a trip. Going to have heat next trip (woo-hoo)!

I hear ya Strick . Stock ain't going nowhere anyhow , that's the beauty of it .

Another little piece ......

Love that rosy color, i think i said before your stuff would look nice free form polished, as it looks to be solid material?
Keep up the yard pickins.
GT..................

You have been the best at finding the pretty stuff.
I am getting closer to retirement and would love to come out for a visit.
I am going to get back into the rock crushing again this year.

TAKODA:

I'm a chemistry student at Auburn who's been interested in Alabama gold for a while now. After looking through some ore crusher pictures, I came across this forum and eventually stumbled across your name and (unfortunately no longer viewable) pictures of Alabama gold.

After gathering a bunch of books and geology reports, I had figured gold in Alabama had been essentially forgotten about for the casual prospector, but alas, here's someone else that is looking for, and seemingly finding it!

What districts do you do most of your work in? I've had fun camping up in the Talladega National Forest with friends doing some casual panning and such. The forest is nice since its so easy to get to and you don't have to worry about private property. I've also been doing some digging around Lake Martin and exploring some of the old mines there.

What methods and tools do you use for gold around here? How did you get interested in this? Thanks, and war eagle!
