Gold happens when you're not paying attention

I went to the local state park I go to sometimes after having a nightmare filled night. Gotta stop dreaming about dead folks and people trying to jack my car.

It takes an hour and a half on a good day to get there. I got there at 6:30. Due to the doctor follies in the early summer, I could only do an hour and a half. The cat has reached OLD. Might not be any going back.

I didn't realize there was a king tide last night. I was watching the hurricane and plotting a book. I found a willing publisher. Soooo...gold, bling, sinkers enough for a year, coins up the wazoo, and I'm too blasted tired to get the stuff out of the truck where it still sits!

I'll post some pics...once I take some...after I get the stuff out of the truck...tomorrow.

Any whining about where the pics are will result in NO PICS. Too blasted tired right now and not going outside after dark due to monsters outside.

I will get the pics tomorrow. Everything I own hurts...a lot. Can't sleep right. Cat puked on the floor. Other cat used my head as a jumping gym. Anther ho hum day in paradise.

Here's the pics. First my new friend. The digging started immediately with coins. Lots of coins. Mixed in and around the coins were some toys I gave to little kids I saw. Then came the sinkers, some 30' or more from the water. Then a white gold ring. Then a 10k yellow gold ring. And finally a pair of Raybans. I haven't washed anything but the jewelry off yet. 2 hour investment in time in mainly wet sand with the Deus. The king tide flooded it up to the dune line. I may get the Raybans fixed. I like fixing stuff. I lost a little piece of bling, have to look in the truck.

Thanks all. Apparently some of this was just dropped. Anybody know how much it costs to replace lenses on a Rayban? I also got a working flashlight, that I'm currently using somewhere else. Didn't have to change the batteries.

Thanks. And Meg, I cleaned up the cat puke. I'm also their territory. Going back to the beach tomorrow and maybe the ocean late in the week, ASSUMING the hurricane misses us.

Awesome hunt, you hit it at the right time, nice golds, congrats on all. I was in O.C. last week but only hunted about an hour a day, lots on lead & clad & one earring. I have to admit I'm not a beach hunter and do not know the skills for it to be successful. Great weather & and three hours at the museum, highlight of the trip. GL&HH
