I cannot find this symbol online anywhere? Anybody know a maker or date range? This ring I found detecting around some old stone walls in the woods.

If I'm seeing it right, the inner rim isn't gold? Is it worn off plating, or is this a bi-metal ring? Or am I just seeing it wrong?

I think that symbol is supposed to represent a crown. I'm guessing someone was trying to fake a British purity mark.

could be initials as well I B maybe back then I's could stand for J's too i believe

looks like an 18 and a crown to imply that it's an 18k British made ring, but the worn places prove that the ring is plated. whoever bought it years ago got ripped off
