Gold half eagle, no its brass

I found this a couple of months ago while was detecting, and i got this great signal, so i dug down about 5 inches and out poped this half eagle i thought was gold. you can imagine the let down after i had it tested and it was only brass. i cant imagine haw many hands this had past through before it was droped and lost. lucky me im the one who brought it back to life, lucky me,lol. i dont know what year this counterfiet was stamped, i sure would like some history, and to know what it might be worth.....i cant find anyone who owns one. its dated 1805. its so worn.......
