Gold Fever Tv show

What a waste of time of my life. This show is utterly ridiculous. The host acts like a moron and talks like he's speaking to morons. I hate to rant with such negativity. However, after yesterdays episode. I can't hold back. The show contained the host and his daughter breaking glass on a beach in Alaska. With skeet type shooting attempts. Bottle after bottle after bottle. Video proof of them littering/polluting in Alaskan waters. Under the pretense that they were starting a beach glass farm. If you've never seen the show, don't bother. Maybe 5% of the whole show has the least bit to do with gold prospecting. Anyhoo... Good luck, may your future be paved with gold.

I would like to see a gold oriented show on tv that was focused on the techonology and methods of getting the gold, NOT the made up drama all the "reality"shows like to pretend is entertaining. The problem is they try to make every show appeal to everyone. STOP with that simpleton like mindset! The addition of fake drama/situations to an otherwise good show makes me turn the channel. I will never watch the wedding channel, just like many people will never watch a gold mining show. Understand you will reach a target demagraphic, NOT every demagraphic out there. THAT is the true reality...

As a hunter, and avid handgunner, I found the episode appalling. Such irresponsible handling of firearms, especially shooting handguns into the air towards the end. It portrays gun owners as loose cannons, and teaches those who live in states where gun classes aren't required some very bad shooting 'techniques', for lack of a better word at the moment. At least the gentlemen who took part in his 'firing range' displayed safe and appropriate behavior handing over and showing their firearms unloaded and action or cylinder open. I hope the Alaska state police see it.

Tom Masse is the total opposite of his brother Perry.
Perry has a better show I think called Prospecting America.
He is a Geology Major and talks normal to the audience.

Perry is also the Outdoor Channel Holdings CEO
There Dad, George T."The Buzzard" Massie was the Founder of G.P.A.A.,Lost Dutchmans Mining Assn.
and the Outdoor Channel.
The "Buzzard" was also the host of the Gold Fever show.
On December 23,1993 Mr. Massie suffered a massive heart attack while getting ready to relax in his new hot tub causing his death at age 54.
I got into mining from watching The Buzzard.
I got to shake hands with Tom and Perry at the South Point Casino Gold and Treasure Show in Vegas.
Tom talks normal in person.
That is a great Treasure Show.
Both brothers are strong advocates on public Land Use Rights.

Obviously Tom is the wrong person to be doing so. His actions in that episode would ruin any chance of him promoting anything successfully. Being the "gold" / "treasure hunter" that he is. He should be well aware that this earth is one big ball of trash already. Then, for him not to think twice about doing what he did... Makes him look like a careless idiot. Just not what the this variety's of hobbyists want to be portrayed as. I know its his "act" to be goofy on the show.. I really went overboard on my rant. That show hit a big nerve.

I understand how you feel ibjeepn.
You should send a message to the GPAA.
They have always seemed very responsable about the image that miners are seen in.
They want to be seen as Family and Environment Friendly Club and non alcoholic.
I bet they will revisit the show content if eyebrows are raised.
They already play the show at 3AM Sat. morning.

LOL Yea I know, but it could be a he got some bad investor advice.....from the dark side.
I can't change what has already happened, I would now advise buying stock in BandAid.
