Gold detecting with the goldmaster E-series

[Hard Prospector]

Barstow area was known more for hard rock mining(silver and gold) and less for placer. Still, you have the Ord, Coolgarde and Alvord Districts near by known for some placer. "Where to find Gold in the Desert" is a good book to get and still in print. Good luck

When working areas with lots of hardrock mines, concentrate on tailing piles, ore bins, exposed track lines, anywhere they were crushing, arasta, stamp mills ect. Your GMT will sniff it out. Many great MD's on this board, try Steves site
