Holy cow she’s beautiful! Although you’re new I’ll nominate banner. Congrats!:occasion14:

Thank you. Yeah I'm new to this online stuff. Have a good one. Luke

Congrats Luke, those don't surface very often!

Wow! That baby looks like the mint made it yesterday! I'd bet it's AU! Great job! I think a lot of gold gets skipped by diggers as they don't like those mid tones. BANNER!

Beautiful reward for your patience and persistence !! Congrats !!

Banner Thanks for sharing this The holy grail for your holy pail awesome find thats what we all hope for. Tommy

WOW the stuff of Dreams!

Wow.....the "grail" for any detectorist. That coin was a significant financial loss a hundred+ years ago.
You have achieved the dream all the rest of us still search for. Congrats brother, she is truly a rare
beauty.

Thank you all! This was easily the 100th target that day. I'm guilty of getting frustrated but I've been working on maintaining a positive attitude when out at these sites and it will pay off. Happy hunting this year to all!

Congrats! East coast? West Coast? Down south?

The stuff of metal detecting dreams right there! Congrats on it! I hope someday I can be so lucky!!!

Square shovel digging...your so lucky! Nice find.

East Coast Canada. New Brunswick. Any homestead pre 1880 usually has US coinage here.
