Went down to the slough today, never thought I would find any coins there.
came to a bend that had a tree hanging over where the water was, its dry right now so you can walk in the middle the sand is damp, just like walking on a beach.
anyway I figured that the tree would be good to swing from checked all around the hole nada, so I went up on the bank and checked around the base got a hit 1952s wheat penny, great right next to it about a foot away get another hit 2001 dime, about three feet from that a 1999 penny then some bottle caps screw type some foil two pull tabs then I get a hit I thought it was going to be a another bottle cap 5" down put my digger in about 4" or so take out some dirt and I see this GOLD edge I think to my self no way, well I was right no way its a Canadian Dollar.....darn! still neat what are they made of brass or what? and what is it doing in central Calif.
camera not working sorry will take pics later.
