Wow that's pimp, I want to find a gold coin so bad

My dad found this so yet to find my own yet but have found plenty of silver coins :) I wouldn't ever sell it but just curious, how ever the sheer amount of "junk" I have found before is unreal bottle tops, soda cans, sheep cream, horse shoes, musket balls and old roman coins is unreal....

700£ I see one on eBay... Last bid so far $360

Beautiful find by the way.... Nice :)

Welcome.... Hope you find more of those... Well done

TreasureHunt3r, are Roman coins really considered "junk"? I really have no idea, being from the U.S. I would love to find a Roman.

Welcome:hello: Nice find, don't tell me your Dad just started detecting?:laughing7:

Well it depends on the size, is it a Guinea (24mm) or Half-Guinea (21mm)?

2010 Book Value:

Half-Guinea
VF - £325, EF - £550

Guinea
VF - £350, EF - £600

old roman coins are junk? man, I'd take that kind of junk any day

If romans are junk than my wheats are can slag! haha! NICE gold.

I have tons of roman and Victorian coins in fact it's rare I go out and don't come back with one. My dad has been metal detracting for around 4 years.
