Gold Bug II Help

I have a Gold Bug II, It seems to work ok on junk metal and everything except gold. I have been on gold properties several times with no luck. I have a nugget 3-4 dwt/ I like to check it with and balance it. However it only picks it up 2 " . This past week a friend of mine took his Gold bug II and he was able to pick the nugget up at 8" deep. He tuned both machines and same problem. Is this something I can fix or do I have to send it out. If so who in SLC ut works on Fisher.

You've done a good job making sure it's not operator error. Only way to get a GB2 repaired is by the factory techs in El Paso. The phone number is 915 633-8354, ask for Fisher customer service. (There's an 800 number but sorry, I don't remember it.)

Thanks for the Response Woof! I suppose there might be something not done. But with 2 machines one will pick it up and one won't! Tuneing them the same. Messed with it a for quite a while. Battries ect. I didn't know you had responded so I reposted in prospecting. Thanks again
