gold bracelet, silver earring, clad , junk jewelry- our finds for today

Ok school has been back in for 2 1/2 weeks ,time to head south to one of our favorite counties. Weather was great mid 80's and strong breeze. It started off slow as after the first 2 schools we had only found about 4 bucks and couple of pieces of junk jewelry.
So what do you do when sites are weak, thats right stop for lunch . After lunch we hit couple more schools that were more productive. The very next school produced the gold bracelet with the name on it. It is stamped 375, yep my first ever piece of 9k but hey gold is gold.
The tiny silver hoop earring was added, and we both found few more pieces of junk jewelry and more clad. The first picture is of Bobbies finds for today, the second is mine and the 3rd is a close up of bracelet and earring. Dime is for size comparison.

Nice bracelet Dave. Your the gold man. I know how hard you must work at your sites to consistently find gold. It can be done. I just pick my gold up differently. That's a bonus when your not at a old location. There is always gold to be found mixed in with all the clad garbage and relics.

Although I don't find more than 5 or 6 pieces of gold a year. I substitute it with hundreds of old coins. The last 2 times i frequented this old park I had 2 people tell me they lost rings here in the past. The only bad part is there are alot of screw caps and pull tabs along with clad and all sorts of other stuff. The gold comes towards the end for me. But it would take month's to find it or get lucky.

At sites like this I tend to work the clad out first. I do dig my share of tabs and screw caps but I'm mainly there to get all the loud targets out first. The area's are somewhat dangerous because of the neighborhoods around them. Not including how large these area's are.

I feal gold coming here soon for me. It's been about 200 pull tabs and screw caps. That seems to be about the ratio for me.
