Hello all,
I’m getting married less than two weeks!
My gal is wearing a engagement ring I eye balled in a gravel lot back in August, and it’s a tiny little 14k band. A perfect humble ring.
We always kid that I will just upgrade her ring someday. Maybe a big stone, or somthing gaudy, or maybe we’ll pony up the cash once we get our house payed off.
Anyways, Today I found her ‘upgrade’.
I hunted on a small island in the San Juan’s, lookin for silver coins, but came away a sweet 4 gram 10k band. Looks to be a wedding band too. It rang 18 on the nox. And I dug A a lot of pull tabs today. Maybe 25. Hardly an pop cans. Hardly any change. Oldest coin - a 59 nickel.
I love that I found a gold ring on this tiny island so close to home! It’s a rocky thinly trees steep island, with tide rips all around it, and major kelp beds to gaze upon. The hunting was fun and relaxing amid the Washington state ‘quarantine’.
And just to be totally candid here - my wife to be’s mother has given us her and her late husbands rings to exchange and wear during our state mandated <10 person Wedding gathering. But both us like the found rings more!
