Went down South early Friday a.m. Didn't have a good feeling of keeping my Friday gold streak alive. I think I had about 3 or 4 Friday's in a row with some kinda gold. Streak ended this time but did manage a .925 ring.

Went back down early Saturday a.m. Not many targets but did luck out, and found a little 14k necklace 5.1dwt.

Hopefully the surf we're predicted to get the next few days will take some of the sand away and stir some goodies up for next week!

Thanks for looking!

Hey Dig, I was there (Dania) at sunrise, but the water was to rough and murky. Went a little south to check Hollywood, and the same there so I went home back to bed.

I would have stayed and hunted the wet sand but have been having a bad problem with the tendon in my elbow.

It's awesome that you found a tennis bracelet, you should post it! Did you find it in the wet or dry sand? Also I think I spoke to you quite a while ago and thought you only hunted for relics and old coins. Do you hit the beach often?

Thanks Jeremy! I've learned a lot since I've started this. Takes a while to figure out the good spots to hit and what to look for on the ocean bottom as far as sand movement, cuts, holes, etc.

The last couple weeks I've been lucky though. Most the beaches are sanded in, and pickins have been slim for most. Just gotta luck out and find some fresh drops.

Our local weather calls for some real rough surf for the next few days, so I'm hoping that next weekend should be excellent!

Thanks for looking!

I posted it in todays finds under Discovery 3300 finds first gold or something like that.I found it in the dry sand, under a lifegaurd shack ,a little south of Dania and north of Hollywood's North Beach Park.It was found just under the surface, surrounded by used condoms (nasty SOB's) sticking out of the sand.I don't get to the beach too often, but with work the way it has been lately,I haven't had a chance to go out of town on the weekend ,which I usually have to do, to get to a place worth relic hunting.I was there at sunrise, even took a picture. You were the guy with the Excalibur 1000,tall guy wearing speedos I think? If that was you , ;D you should slow down on that swing, look like you were in a race. :) Of course maybe you can do that with that machine,I don't know.Maybe it wasn't even you.I got to Dania right before 7 am,when were you there?

I was there at sunrise, looked at it and decided it was to rough for the water. Didn't even get the Excalibur outta the truck.

No way I'd be wearing speedos!! LOL! I'm always in the water. This time of year all I wear is a black pair of surfin baggies, soon to be wearing a wet suit.

Try to hit it this weekend as the ocean is predicted to be really rough. Should bring up a lot of Loot!

Thank god! That dude looked a little weird anyway.I saw him there a couple of years ago, same guy, same machine, same speedos! LOL ;D Take care

Congratulations Surfrat. Love the gold and silver for sure. Miss the beach though. Was wonderful the 3 years I lived in Hawaii. No MDing at the time, but I sure loved SCUBA and the freedom of movement with it under the Pacific.
