Hi,
Worked the wet sand slope for 2 hrs. on this cloudy day today; was finding only a couple of clads, and misc. "junk" so I moved up to the dry sand for the last hour.
Found a 1952 quarter, a 10K class ring ( 1931)....and an ornate religious medallion ( Miraculous Medal) all in dry sand .
Class ring weighs 6.29 gms. no stone..mostly gold . It is marked "L G B"...this stands for "Lloyd Garfield Balfour". LGB was an earlier mark for the Balfour jeweler Co.
The medallion looks to be very old....don't see this style these days, but maybe I just haven't looked in enough places; but it is so heavily tarnished so it is presently being electrolyzed...might or might not be silver ...we'll see later
Here's some pics
Thanks for looking
